A 1993 graduate, she maintained an impressive 3.5 GPA throughout her high school journey, reflecting her dedication to academic excellence. Her involvement in esteemed organizations such as the National Honor Society, FBLA, and Who's Who of High School Students showcased her leadership and commitment to her school community.

Her collegiate basketball career at Glenville State University and Davis and Elkins College showcased her exceptional talent. Climbing the ranks of her team's record books, she became a living testament to what can be achieved through hard work and determination. Her leadership on the court and her contributions to the game of basketball continue to be recognized and celebrated…such as still holding the NCAA Division II record for most free throws attempted and made in a single game with shooting 29 of 36… a record that still stands to this day.
